How to add someone

You can add drivers at checkout, or later from the Authorized drivers panel on your trip. Enter their full name and email address, then confirm. We check whether they already have a FanCars account and tell you either way.

The invite link

Each driver gets their own link. It is emailed to them, and you can copy it from the panel to send yourself. The link opens a page naming the car and the trip dates.

They sign in or create an account, accept, and then complete driver verification: license, insurance, and the camera check. If their account is already verified and scored, accepting is all they have to do.

What it does to your price

Adding a driver costs nothing at the moment you add them. The price moves only once they connect a verified, scored account.

Pricing then follows the least-safe driver on the trip. Someone with a lower FanScore than yours raises the price of the whole trip. An excellent co-driver nudges it down only slightly, because the price is anchored to the riskiest person holding keys. The trip is repriced automatically and you are told the new total. Adding someone mid-trip charges the difference prorated for the time still left.

Limits and deadlines

Up to three additional drivers per trip. Everyone on the list has to be fully verified before you can check the car in, so add people when you book rather than the night before.
