Your FanScore as a renter

FanScore is a single number between 300 and 850 that describes you as a driver. It appears on every booking request you send, and it adjusts what you pay: safer drivers pay less.

What goes into it

Verified identity, your driving and background record, an active insurance policy and its coverage limit, how long you have held a license, how many trips you have completed on FanCars, the reviews hosts leave you, and any damage reported against you. Account sanctions and open reports count against it.

How it changes your price

There is a wide band through the middle of the scale where you pay exactly the rate the host set. Below that band a risk premium is added, and it climbs steeply toward the bottom of the scale. Above it you get a safe-driver discount. Each host chooses how far their own premium and discount go, so the exact adjustment varies from car to car.

Where to see it

Open your account and go to the FanScore tab. You get your score, your band (Poor through Exceptional), how it has moved recently, the full list of factors with the points each one is worth, and specific actions that would raise it.

If something looks wrong

Any factor can be sent for review from that same tab. Pick the factor, explain what is wrong, attach a document if you have one, and a specialist looks at it.

Getting your first score

Your score appears once your driver verification is approved.
