Reporting another member

If someone on FanCars behaves in a way that is not acceptable, report them. It is quick and it is taken seriously.

How to report

Use Report from a member's profile, from a trip you shared with them, or from your message thread. You pick a reason:

  • Unsafe driving
  • Damage to a vehicle
  • Harassment or abuse
  • Fraud or scam
  • Pushing payment or booking off-platform
  • Something else

Add details if you have them. Dates, what was said, what happened, and anything on the trip that backs it up all help.

What happens next

The report opens a case with its own number and goes to our trust and safety team. Reports of fraud, harassment, and unsafe driving are serious enough to open a review on their own. The other reasons open one once three different people have reported the same member within 30 days.

You can have one open report on a given person at a time. If something new happens after that, add it to the existing case rather than filing again.

If it is an emergency

Call 911 first. Report it here afterwards, and use the accident and incident form on the trip page if a car is involved.

Payments off the platform

Anyone asking you to pay outside FanCars is worth reporting. Off-platform payment has no deposit, no coverage, and nothing to dispute.
