Trust, safety and verification

How we check who is driving, what happens when something does not match, and how to report a problem with another member.

How verification works

You upload your license and insurance and do a short live camera check. Automatic checks read the documents and compare your face against your license photo.

Why a verification goes to manual review

Usually because the details you typed do not match what your documents say. A person checks it, and small typos are the most common cause.

Reporting another member

You can report a host or a guest from their profile, a trip, or a message thread. Every report opens a case that our trust and safety team reviews.

One account per person

A driver's license can only be verified on one FanCars account, and the face check is compared against faces already on the platform.

How condition photos protect both sides

Both the guest and the host photograph the car at the start and end of every trip. Anything already visible in the pickup set is not new damage, and those photos are what prove it.
