How FanScore changes your price

The bands

Between 580 and 740 you pay the host's rate with no adjustment at all. Above 740 the price comes down, and it keeps coming down as the score rises. Below 580 it climbs, steeply toward the bottom of the range. Each host sets how far the discount and the surcharge can go across all of their cars, so the same score can land differently from one host to the next.

Where you see it

At checkout the adjustment is its own line, labeled as a safe driver discount or a driver safety surcharge. The FanScore tab in your account shows your score, the factors behind it, what each one is worth, and the things that would move it.

Trips with more than one driver

A trip prices off the least safe driver on it, softened a little by the stronger records of everyone else. Adding a driver with a weak history reprices the whole trip, so add your drivers before you pay where you can.
