Creating your account

Open your account from the sign-in page. There are two ways in.

Email signup

Give your first and last name exactly as they appear on your driver's license, your email, your date of birth, and a password. The name matters: it has to match the license you upload during verification, so a nickname costs you a round of review. You can add a preferred name later from your account.

You must be 18 or older. Individual cars can require more: a host picks 18, 21, 25, or 30, and a listing left alone sits at 25.

Google signup

You can create the account with Google instead. Your email address is confirmed automatically, and you give your date of birth when you get verified to drive.

Confirm your email

Email signups get a confirmation link. Click it before you try to book, because a booking will not go through on an unconfirmed address. If it never arrives, check spam and ask for a new one from the sign-in page.

What an account gets you

Browsing, saved favorites, messaging hosts, and your own Garage for any car you own. To actually book a car you need driver verification: license, insurance, and a short camera check.
