Minimum age for each car

Two separate rules

The account rule is 18. You cannot open a FanCars account below that age, and your date of birth is confirmed from your license during driver verification.

The car rule belongs to the host. Every listing carries a minimum renter age of 18, 21, 25, or 30, chosen when the car is listed. A host who never touches the setting leaves it at 25, which is the default.

What you actually experience

Cars whose minimum is above your age are removed from your search results, so most of the time you never see them. If you reach one of those listings another way, the page states the minimum, and booking is refused with the age the host requires.

If your age cannot be confirmed

Age checks fail closed. If there is no confirmed date of birth on your account, booking is blocked rather than waved through. Finishing driver verification, which reads the date of birth off your license, clears it.

If you are under 25

There is no way to override a host's minimum, and support cannot lift it for one trip. Once you are signed in, your search results already exclude the cars you are too young for, so what you see is what you can book.
