Fan cars and everyday cars

When a host adds a car, an automatic check looks at its photo and decides whether it is a fan car: something an enthusiast would cross town for. Everything else is classified as an everyday car.

What the difference does

Fan cars sort to the top of search results, whichever sort order you pick, and they fill the featured row on the home page first, with everyday cars used to top it up when there are not enough. Everyday cars rent normally. They just sit below the fan cars in the list.

What it does not do

The label says nothing about condition, safety, or the host. It does not change your price, your deposit, your coverage, or anything about how you book, check in, or check out. A well-kept commuter car is often exactly the right rental.

Finding what you want

The quick filters on the home page are the fastest way to narrow things down: Instant Book, Hourly rentals, Delivered, Under 100 dollars a day, and Electric. Below those you can set a price range, minimum seats, transmission, fuel type, and your pickup and return times, then sort by price, distance, or rating.

If you already know the car you want, the keyword box searches listings directly, so a model name usually gets you there in one go.
