How the damage comparison works

Every trip has a guided 14-shot sweep at each end, taken from the same fixed positions. That is what makes an automatic comparison possible.

What the check does

Each return photo is compared against the matching earlier photo of that same panel on that same car. The check is looking for what is different, not for what is imperfect. It can flag dents, scratches, scuffs, cracks, chips, tears, stains, missing parts, glass damage, and tire wear, and it rates each one minor, moderate, or major with a box drawn on the photo.

What it does not do

• It does not decide anything. It flags, and a person reviews.
• It does not charge for ordinary wear. Wear is noted and left alone.
• It does not call a panel clean when it could not read it. Photos that are too dark, blurred, or badly framed come back as unchecked, which is a different answer.

Who sees what

Your host sees the flagged list on their side of the trip and goes through it one by one, confirming or dismissing each call. Dismissals include the reason, such as the mark was already there, or it is not damage at all. You are not shown the raw flags. An automatic guess nobody has reviewed is not something we put in front of you as an accusation.

Nothing becomes a claim until your host confirms a finding and files one. At that point it is a normal damage claim, and you get to answer it.
